Give your life away

For many of us January means getting back to the cold and damp, and the daily commute. We can suffer from a general lack of motivation and the Christmas break feels an awful long time ago. The Christian commandment to love others actually brings us as much benefit (possibly more) than those we serve. Perhaps that’s what Jesus meant when he made the curious statement: If you try to save your life, you will lose it. But if you give it up for me, you will surely find it, Matthew 10.39.
