A handful of snow

The winter provides an opportunity to see things differently. Whereas gardens and parks can look “bare”, they can also look clearer as we see through the foliage to beyond and as we catch sight of the forgotten spaces in between the shrubs and hedges. Yes I know it can also rain a lot … but there are also those days when the world appears crisp and clear, suddenly brought into focus..Even long dark evenings can cause us to see things we are accustomed to differently.
This short story asks the question: what beauty can I see among the things I am used to seeing?
